Eventually those items drop on my lap but if a player prefers to "buy" his way (using skill points) then I think it's OK to unlock the tools with their skill purchasing power. As an example, my character never seems to need level 2+ in Advanced Engineering because I usually loot or buy the anvil, bellows, and crucible. Since we can unlock the crucible at Level 5, then we should be able to unlock the anvil and bellows in the likely event (like the OP experienced) where we either couldn't loot or buy the item.Ĭonsidering a player that wants the "extra" benefits of leveling up the perk, then unlocking the tools at level 5 seems reasonable. I have to agree with SGT.D about he anvil and bellows (in this case). They're nice bonuses- But not at all required. I fully agree with it being such that required things are unlocked by perks And the required things are available to you via perks.īut, beneficial but not required things are just fine being skill books or recipes you can find and read. Imo that's pretty poor game balance overall, and incredibly imbalanced towards this one perk that it alone can win you the game. Is this a bug, or is there something I'm not aware of that will increase my intellect cap This perk i. Yet my intellect is 10/10 and can't be increased.

I try to buy it but it says 'You must increase your attribute:intellect before purchasing this perk'. Unlocked after getting Advanced Engineering level 4 or reading the Shotgun Turret Schematic. Advanced Engineering perk under Intellect. But, Making it so 5 points unlocks Every Craftable Item In the Game puts an Incredible amount of power behind those 5 points to the extent that those 5 points become mandatory for every build.Īll the weapon, armor, and tool mods? All the various weapons? All the armor? All the tools? All the traps? The crucible? The parts required to craft top tier equipment? With just 5 points you achieve end game progression, and are wearing steel or military equipment, you're done with the game now because your base is made of steel, you're in the best gear, there's nothing left to earn. The Shotgun Auto Turret senses targets in its view and fires shotgun shells at them.

Sorry, but I'm just not a fan of locking craftable items behind recipes that are random loot. There really shouldn't be anything you can't craft once the perk is maxed.
#7 DAYS TO DIE ADVANCED ENGINEERING HOW TO#
D:Expect a lot of 'go out and loot more' or 'keep checking all of the traders' from the folks that don't understand the problem, and that is with the skill maxed out, why wouldn't you be able to figure out how to craft a block of iron to beat on.
